QuestionsCategory: Business QuadrantPlotting PE Ratio vs Time chart over a period of 5 years
PK Woo asked 4 years ago

Hi Victor,
To determine the average PE of a stock over a certain period, I noted in your last training session on 8th Jul, you have shown a chart and drawn a line at the middle to show the average PE ratio, to calculate the intrinsic value of a stock.
Instead of manually working out the PE ratios and then plot the chart manually, is there any quick way of doing this? Is there any website we can access to obtain the average PE ratio? Thanks. Woo

I have made a typo error. It should be under Valuation Quadrant.

Hi Woo,

You can either find the historical High and Low PE and rough calculate the mid point. There are service provider like Bloomberg or Capital IQ that provide such services but their fee are roughly USD$2000 per month.
