QuestionsCategory: Management QuadrantLooking at Disney
Adeline Ling asked 4 months ago

Hi there, not sure if I’m getting this correct.

  1. Can I check when calculating ROE, should I use (1) Net income / Total Disney’s Shareholders’ equity or (2) Net income attributable to The Walt Disney Company (Disney) / Total Disney’s Shareholders’ equity?
  2. I’m a little lost when studying Disney’s ownership and management compensation. Appreciate if you can just point in the right direction to look into this.

Thank you!

Hi Adeline,

1.Use method 2 – (2) Net income attributable to The Walt Disney Company (Disney) / Total Disney’s Shareholders’ equity

2.The management compensation can be found in the proxy statement.
https://thewaltdisneycompany.com/investor-relations/#forms > search proxy statement – inside the proxy statement the compensation is in page 19.

3.For ownership you can look at here: https://money.cnn.com/quote/shareholders/shareholders.html?symb=DIS&subView=institutional
