QuestionsCategory: MiscellaneousIssue with monitoring stocks using watchlist
redvolver asked 1 year ago

Hi all
Is there any way to blank out the current share price of the stock counters that I have bought and will be monitoring using any app watchlist?
I want to keep track of news that may affect the business fundamentals of my stocks but every time I login in, the first page would be the stock price.
Is there any way around this that you all can propose? I am pretty sure it is not healthy to look at prices daily.
Do advise. Currently using sgx mobile, fsmone, marketwatch and yahoo finance

Hi Redvolver,

I will usually look at the index first. If the index is dropping then I will take a look at the stocks to see if there is any opportunities. I seldom look at the stock price of the companies that I had invested.  The rest of the time, I spent it on reading news or quarterly reports.

Ah ic. So I assume u will get the news about your stock from elsewhere (eg google alert,) ?
Cos if I get from my app, normally they will show the price first before I can scroll down to the news regarding my stocks

We have an excel that keep track of those companies result release date. So when the date is close, we will keep checking the announcement. As for news of the company, we usually get it from different newspapers that we read it daily.
