QuestionsCategory: Stock Screening30-sec stock filtering – would you ignore a company that had a few years strong records after a few bad ones?
Christopher How asked 2 years ago

Hi guys,
Started screening stocks based on the 30-sec filtering module and I came a cross a number of companies that have a long operating history where they had a 1-2 bad years overall, but good track records for the last 5 years.
Using the example of the attached chart, would this company pass the 30-sec filter?
Thank you.

Hi Christopher,
You have to find out why the company is down for that 1-2 years. If it is temporary issue that may not happen in the future again then I will say it pass the criteria.
Do remember to ask this question when you do your 30-sec filter: “Is the company recurring?” – With recurring revenue, the company is more predictable.
